| I am sorry to say that the attractive exterior and decent beers provide an effective smokescreen for some truly awful accommodation. I stayed in room 2 on the ground floor and experienced a damp, stinking night in near-wet bedclothes. The pillows were so damp and smelling of mildew that I had to use a t-shirt stuffed with some spare clothes to put my head on. I paid £78 for the privilege of staying in such a disgusting room. The vile breakfast (greasy, fatty stuff reminiscent of the bad old days of 1970s B+Bs) was included, though I wished it hadn't been because it was a complete waste of money. The real shame is that I have been to the pub many times before and took the trouble to book the room when in the area on business because I presumed that the generally comfy ambience of the bar would be reflected in the accommodation. How wrong I was. NEVER, EVER AGAIN.[Report for Removal] | robert swift hindhead surrey |

| I feel very disappointed after our visit to this pub. We live quite near and decided to go there for lunch and a beach walk, but the beach and its location was the only good thing about the pub. Firstly the beer was musty...we ordered our meals only to have the waitress yell our number the bring over a the wrong meals...how hard is it to put through two scampi and chips!?! there was no appology for this! then when it did return I didn't feel much like eating it due to the rank stale excuse for a salad flopped on the side of the plate...SO not worth the money. There were also no high chairs or baby changing facilities! Again, no appology for this, just moody looks from the bar staff......WE WILL NOT RETURN TO THE BANKES ARMS....EVER!
