| We arrived at the pub, after walking from Linton, on a cold and windy New Years Eve lunchtime. We received a warm welcome and as we were taking our muddy boots off in the doorway a member of staff came and showed us where to put our gear and thanked us for being so considerate. We received such a warm welcome by the staff, there was a roaring fire and a wonderful carvery of locally reared meats and lots of vegetables. We were encouraged to go back for more, but we didn't as we had had quite sufficient. Everything was perfectly cooked and it really made our day. All this for only £6.95.
