| I would not recommend this pub to anyone unless you are looking for a fight. We hired out the Mead Hall function room for a young lad coming back from Afghan. We had a fantastic night until the end, we got charged £50 because someone had kicked an hole in the wall outside the function room, people from all other areas of the pub have freedom to walk around and were coming in our function room so how it could be blamed on us is crazy, we asked to look at cameras to see who had done it and they informed us they had not got any. If you do deceide to hire it I would clearly find out where the boundaries are for damage or you may end up paying for any damage in any area of the pub that night. Next problem we all went outside for our taxi, we had a lot of teenage girls with us and one of them had mistakenly taken her bottle outside, the bouncer grabbed it off her and was extremely rude, when my partner challenged him he lunged for him so me and my daughters obviously told him to leave him alone, he pushd my nineteen year old daughter and grabbed me so hard i have black bruises on my arm, he then proceeded to run back into the pub(not touching any men note). He was a foreign guy, maybe Greek or something. I am a nearly 40 year old woman and do not expect to come home for a night out in this state. The irony that got me was that a young lad whos party it was had actually been risking his life in Afghan and the respect he got was his auntie being assaulted by some over zealous bouncer who is obviously not very good at his job. SEND HIM OUT TO AFGHAN I SAY. As you would expect we got no response from the police(taxes we pay for no reason) they are probably all in cahoots as i know police were in earlier and i also know there were underage drinkers but nothing was done about it. If you could take the room away and put it somewhere else it would be perfect. IF YOU ARE DECENT FAMILY PEOPLE I WOULD KEEP WELL AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, YOU GET TREATED WITH NO RESPECT WHATSOVER.[Report for Removal] | Dawn Harrison liversedge west yorkshire |

| I would not recommend this Pub to anyone. This Pub is a dive, Beer was flat and tasted funny, Food was nothing to write home about, only inhabited with low life people who want to fight and puke up in the toilets etc. Apart from that the Bar manager is “GAY” and he and his boyfriend, employ bar staff (Usually Males & young enough so they can abuse them sexually)on shady under counter deals, where they pay them with cash in hand, so they don’t have to put anything through the tax man, also he propositions his “Male Staff” to sleep with him and his partner, and if they don’t he tries to get them drunk by lacing their drinks and get them drugged so they can seduce them, when they can’t defend themselves, I know cos I have been in that situation and it was one of my mates who took me home, then after that the Bar manager stopped calling me to work for him..[Report for Removal] | peter cleckhetan west yorksher |
