| Sara and Helen were extremely helpful and did a proper good event for 40, for my Mum's 80th birthday. The food was deliciously excellent (and had surprises in it eg pea shoots instead of watercress), the wine good, reasonably priced and the right temperature and it was all well served. We had more courses than we were expecting (crudities,coffee and sweets and unlimited home made bread). This is a great pub and they deserve success. Please support them and the chef. | Excellent food in the heart of South Somerset. The owners go to great trouble to source sustainably and support local farmers, producers and fishermen. The atmosphere is welcoming with log fires and big sofa and the decor unfussy and relaxed. The menu is creative without being pretentious and highlights the quality of the ingredients.
