| Main waitress was rude and obnoxious. Ordered a medium done 8oz rump but received shrivelled dry burnt offering. When raised with waitress she returned from kitchen and loudly announced in front of other customers that 'the chef''s opinion it was fine. Replaced when I stood my ground and replacement was fine. Waitresses were miserable not at all welcoming or friendly. Main waitress proceeded to discuss our party in front of us with manager. No apology offered for poor service. Avocado starter was 'black' and obviously been hanging around a while. Chips were burnt. Veg was frozen in middle. Soup was so cool you could keep your finger in it. | We went to The Farmhouse 22/11/09 as a group of four its not the first time we have eaten there. Two of us ordered a sirloin steak which was the worst we had ever eaten(did not eat) we passed our comments to the chef. on paying I refused to pay for them and the RUDE manager made the situation worse. On returning to the table we looked at the bill and the RUDE meanager made a point of interupting our chat. We then left the restaurant area for the bar and ordered some more drinks before our taxi arrived. As we were being served the RUDE manager then came into the bar and just stared at us and then walked upto us and said YOUR STAYING THEN and why had we asked her staff for the owners name. I wanted to report her to WADWORTH the owners of the pub. I will be doing this by phone as it was confirmed on leaving that two customers outside said they found her the same and would never eat there again. SO DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY PLENTY OF FAR BETTER PLACES TO EAT WITHOUT THE RUDENESS OF THE MANAGER FROM HELL. will of course update you all when I chat to Wadworths.[Report for Removal] | Mr Hael Westbury Wiltshire |

| Will not go again whilst THAT WOMAN works there (presumably the manager). Our 19 month old daughter was tired and started to cry. We did what we could to pacify her but THAT WOMAN asked us to keep her quiet and she then asked us to take her outside which I refused to do as it was raining (this was whilst our food was on the table). Completely lost my appetite. If they don't like children, they should say so on the door. | Went for Sunday lunch and it was excellent.My husband had the turkey and I had roast beef.Isked for extra gravy[delicious] and it came in a seperate jug before I had time to eat more than one mouthful.The dish of veg was very fresh and well cooked.Loved the roast potatoes too.Even had room for a super desert of jam roly poly and sticky toffee pudding and custard. yummmy. | been several times. excellent food,very attractive decor.The landlords are very welcoming and friendly. Good service, nothing too much trouble.Always enjoy the food.
