| I visited this pub on a warm July 11 lunchtime, I was greeted by a guy in a ponytail, beard, builders boots and a grubby teeshirt. We ordered a ham baguette, a jacket potato and a portion of chips and 2 drinks. Total £16.50. The baguette was a thawed out frozen one, filled with a bit of lettuce and a piece of processed ham. The jacket potato was ok, but at £4.50 was way over priced. The chips were oven cooked. For less than that price, we could have gone elsewhere and had a carvery lunch for 2 and with 2 drinks would have been about the same price. This if definately a pub I will never visit again, nor would I recomend it. It is so easy to get a pub lunch right, so why do so many places get it so badly wrong? | It has closed due to some greedy business people.They live in Ilford not Dodford. They dont know what a country pub is as they are not local. Obviously do not understand English culture.
