| Myself my partner and my parents visited the Park Gate last Thursday evening (20.08.09). We had pre-booked a table but that wasn't necessary. Not having been to the Park Gate for a while I was pleasantly surprised by the refurbishment, the surroundings were delightful and very relaxing. Our meals were served promptly and they were all hot and very tasty. The landlord and staff were pleasant and accommodating. My only critisism would be that not all items on the menu were available and yet the restaurant was definately not too busy,(only two other couples dining whilst we were there). | I visited the pub just before christmas & was so impressed by the friendly staff & cosy atmosphere that I decided to take my family here for christmas lunch, yet again the staff & atmosphere were friendly & inviting & the food was lovely.[Report for Removal] | Mr D Baldock oldbury west midlands |

| Visited the pub on Thursday 26 June, which has just reopened. The service and food were extremely poor eg.wrong wine brought to table,starter poorly prepared and served without accompanying dip,steak largely inedible, which does not augur well for a pub trying to create a good impression in its first week of trade. The matter was brought to the attention of the landlady who was apologetic. We will certainly not be visiting again.
