| Charming little drinking den,nestled away from the hustle and bustle of Harpenden Town. Steve and Shelley have transformed this once sleepy establishment into a thriving community for the locals and newcomers alike.There is always a fine selection of real ales on tap aswell as the customary lagers and ciders.Every Sunday at 2PM the pub transforms into a cocophany of cheese as The Oaktree Cheese Society(sponsored by Waitrose) opens it's doors to a varied selection of cheeses brought in by the customers and all washed down with a slug or two of port.Everyone is welcome to sample or bring cheese along and all monies donated are distributed among local charities.Throughout the week,the fresh,home cooked food is an absolute delight to the tastebuds and the Sheperds pie should not be missed!All in all,The Oaktree has become a very popular place to eat and meet,mainly due to the effort of Steve,Shelley and all the staff who always guarantee you a very warm welcome.[Report for Removal] | Martin Williamson Harpenden Hertfordshire |
