| On visiting The Colney Fox on the 10th January '09 six of us had a bad experience waiting from 8.30pm until nearly 10pm for our food, staff didn't seen to know what was going on, we were all very disappointed and eventually we all left. I am glad to say though, we were invited back on Friday 30th Jan '09 by the Manager Derrick Fiddes. WELL! what a difference another day makes. We all had the most wonderful evening, the food arrived quickly and it was wonderful, delicious and hot. The place was quite busy but the Staff were fantastic and atmosphere felt great, Marvellous! So thank you Derrick and all your staff for giving us the opportunity to give the Colney Fox another chance, we will all definitely be back again for another 'feel good' and enjoyable evening.[Report for Removal] | Rayleah Elmon Borehamwood Herts. |

| My family and I decided to organise a nice festive lunch on Christmas Eve! We had a table booked for 7 people at 2pm - we arrived at 1.55pm to a VERY confused waitress who didn't seem to know who we were and why we were there! After explaining in simple terms that we had booked a table and pre-booked from the "festive menu" 6 weeks ago. The table was in a separate part of the restaurant and we were left on our own and forgotten about. We were very surprised there were no decorations or Christmas crackers anywhere to be seen. After waiting for 35 minutes we managed to order our drinks. After a further 10 minutes (45 mins after we arrived) our starters arrived - the mushrooms (and plate) were stone cold! - We sent them back to a very unapologetic waiter and they reappeared on the same plates which were still very cold. After 1 hour and 15 mins still no sign of our main courses or any enquiry on how we would like our steaks cooked! We also noticed the cutlery was filthy (however the old bit of broccoli on the fork was no extra!). We had had ENOUGH and decided to leave.
