| Get a great scottish welcome from the Admiral. The landlord dresses up like lord of the manor. Always has a drink in his hand. Stands in front off you when watching the entertainment. | We have visited the admiral several times in the last 2 years both to eat and for a daytime drink. We have found the food excellent and the locals friendly. The landlord seems very fond of dogs and promptly appears with fresh water and biscuits when we take ours. | We visit area regulary and know that if we want to have a really good evening out dining we only have to ring and book a table at the Admiral...food to die for, view beautiful and the fact that you have to book speaks for its self..would recommend to all..ps locals always friendly at the bar ...as long as you are tooooo[Report for Removal] | Lynne Watson Coniston cumbria |

| First night in was in lounge with wife. Very efficient barmaid with no personal skills served us. Wife had asked for water in her whisky and when asked for more was told that she had put water in. On next round I asked for whisky in same glass to be told in no uncertain terms NO. She then disappeared to public bar. Went back next night and different barmaid and went to public bar After being served she disappeared to lounge bar. When locals then came in she then found all the time of day to spend with them.
