Homepage
Bell Inn, Iden, Rye, East Sussex is a Countryside Pub, dispenses Real Ales and serves Good Food and has Accommodation. Families and Dogs are welcome. Bell Inn has a Beer Garden.
This traditional village inn dates back, in parts, to the 15th century, or earlier. Local Legend has it, that the original building was used as accommodation for the monks that built Iden church. Its is also thought that there is a tunnel between the pub cellar and the church, although this has not yet been discovered, they do keep an eye out for the vicar turning up in the cellar! Today homemade food is served, along with real ales, continental lagers and a good wine list. Well behaved children & dogs are welcome. There is a beer garden for enjoying the summer, and a warm cosy snug with a wood burning fire for the wintery nights.
