The Dundas Arms at Kintbury
The pub lies between the Kennet and Avon canal and the river Kennet.It is midway between London and Bristol, one mile off the A4 and about 8 miles from junctions 13 and 14 on the M4.It lies on the edge of the picturesque village of Kintbury and has been in the same family for 41 years.
The menu focuses on a British menu on the whole, offering a mixture of staters,some of which make a substantial lunch meal examples,Crab au gratin with salad,Hot spicy chicken with peanut and chilli sauce and Warm beef salad with horseradish and grapeseed mustard sauce,and main courses such as Steak and kidney pie,Slow roasted belly pork with spiced red cabbage,Grilled rib eye steak,chips and mushrooms.Fish dishes may include Orkney salmon with fennel and saffron risotto,Baked cod with chips and peas.
We have 5 double bedrooms 3 of which double bedded and 2 twin bedded.All are on the ground floor and overlook the river with a patio onto the water.All rooms are en-suite with both baths and showers.They all have tea making facilities and flat screen T.V.'s with freeview.we include full English breakfast in our prices. The cost of a room with double occupancy is £90.00 per night.
We have tables outside for meals overlooking both the canal and river.The same food is served outside as we serve inside
As a true country pub we offer draught beers 4 in total all on hand pumps.Adnams bitter is our lowest alchoholic one at 3.7%. we also have 3 other beers from local breweries.One being The West Berkshire Brewery which we have Good Old Boy and usually a Monthly special.The other local brewery is at Ramsbury and is Ramsbury Gold.We also have Guiness,lagers and cider. We have a very comprehensive wine list with wines ranging from £13.50 per bottle up to £180.00 covering many areas and countries.So there is something for everyone.We also have at least 6 wines by the glass.
