The Bulls Head was the most famous of Meriden inns in the 18th Century and was so fine that Queen Victoria apparently stayed there in 1832. It is located in the village of Meriden which is said to be the centre of England. It is also the birthplace of Lady Godiva who founded the first church at Meriden. Meriden is a pretty village, boasting lovely walks through the rolling countryside. For those who prefer entertainment indoors, the National Exhibition Centre is just a few miles away and holds a variety of events. Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon are also within driving distance, both offering a wealth of historical attractions to visit. The Bull’s Head is also very convenient for Birmingham International Airport.
