The Old Lion

The Old Lion, originally a 17th century coaching inn, has evolved into a well-established pub and restaurant, providing an excellent standard of home cooked food and quality ales, soft drinks and wines for the modern-day traveller. Liz Hughes and her team pride themselves with service and strive to ensure that guests enjoy the best possible attention whether in the bar, restaurant or beer garden. There is a large car park and a fenced patio and special needs and diets are well catered for. There are many events and special menus, which can be viewed and reviewed on the website.

The large restaurant & carvery is separate from the bars, making for really pleasant and relaxed dining - for a party or small group. Meals are also served in the bar areas - whatever your preference!

Bar/lounge

The bar has a games area, with skittles, darts and a pool table and other games - dominoes, cards, etc. - are always available. The lounge has comfortable seating and a lively old-style pub ambience. If you like things a little quieter, there is also a snug, for a more intimate atmosphere.
