Dating back to the 15th Century, The Green Man formed part of a medieval village. The character, the Green Man, was known as the ‘spirit of the woods’ and was commonly portrayed as a face peering through or made of leaves and petals. The pub is a mere 2 miles from Cambridge City Centre. Guests will be able to browse a new menu which includes a wide variety of freshly prepared classic pub dishes such as Slow Cooked Shoulder of Lamb, daily fresh fish dishes and Homemade Pie of the Day. There is also a separate lunch menu offering freshly made sandwiches and salads, perfect if you’re just nipping in for a quick bite. Look out for the blackboard showing today’s specials, and the thoughtfully selected range of delicious vegetarian options. There is an extensive wine selection to compliment the menu as well as a variety of continental lagers. There is no need to book, just come in and we'll look after you.
