The Walnut Tree Inn, nestles on the edge of the picturesque town of Mere in the south west corner of Wiltshire.The family friendly pub and restaurant opens all day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday,and serves food from 12-2.30pm and 5.30pm-9pm on Mon-Thurs. From Easter we open all day everyday. On Sundays we serve our now famous carvery, where you can enjoy at least three different slowly roasted joints and ten different vegetable and potato choices, homemade Yorkshires and a host of trimmings.Booking is essential on Sunday lunchtime, but we serve all day until late!

If you like your puddings then here is somewhere you must try, as our landlady Sam uses her skills as a top patisserie chef to create and cook nearly every dessert we sell. Our desserts are constantly changing so there will always be something to tempt those with a sweet tooth! We always have 4 cask ales on sale, some of which change weekly from breweries both local and national so if you like your beer from the cask then we'll always have something to suit.If wine's your tipple, we're sure you'll find something to suit at a very reasonable price.

Enjoy a drink or food on either of our well appointed patios where you are sure to find our fantastic floral displays just the waybto wind down at the end of a Summer's day or a lovely place to enjoy an early morning coffee and newspaper.In the Winter sink into a sumptous leather armchair and enjoy a well kept cask ale, glass of wine or one of our freshly ground Italian coffees. Come along to The Walnut Tree Quiz night....every Monday from 8.30pm where we attempt some cerebral exercise whilst having a bit of fun. Cash prizes, teams welcome..it's a bit of fun and you don't need to be clever......you just need to know the answers!
