We went as a group to try the Sunday lunch which is supposed to be good, but it was awful. Meat was dry and vegatables were cold. Staff uninterested in anything other than chatting up their mates. We won't be going back. £9.95 isn't much but lunch here isn't worth it.[Report for Removal] Andi Ash

Used to be a nice village pub but now its turned into a noisy boozer. Food is expensive. There are plenty of other pubs in Hamble.[Report for Removal] S Wade

This pub is one of those pubs that's a bit above its station , advertising itself as a B&B i booked a week while i was on a course, i was dumped by the landlord in a crummy flat 500 yrds away shown the fridge and told i had to make my own breakfast ! Then a day later told i had to share the flat with another guest , mmmm the prospect filled me with joy ! less said about that the better. The food again is overpriced for very standard pub fair a standard black pepper steak and chips £15.50 i kid you not. Take my advice and avoid at all costs. probably the worst place to stay in Hamble[Report for Removal] mark Gilbert

This is a very old and small pub. There is a central chimney with a roaring open fire making the whole place feel warm and cozy in winter. The staff are very friendly and the service both in the bar and the restaurant is excellent. The food is very good too. Out the back there is a beer garden as well as a small children's play area.[Report for Removal] Gweev
