| Visited this Pub today (15/10/09)on the spur of the moment for some lunch with my wife. I must say on entry we were very suprised. We were greeted by the new landlord of 3 weeks.(He and his brother now run the pub, his brother lives in the kitchen) He was very pleasant and looked the part. The Decor was clean and fresh. He offered us a table and a menue, which, on inspection, had a great choice of snacks and main lunch time meals.ALL AT A GREAT PRICE. We both ordered the "Home Made" fishcakes. The landlord said that as everything was cooked fresh it would take a little while. No problem to us as he served us with two fantastic coffees and the offer of some daily news pappers. When the food was ready, it was well presented and indeed FRESH and very TASTY. For the short time that we were there it was a very pleasant experience.
