| New chef and Landlady are transforming this village pub. The food is superb - you get what you pay for - crab starter, risotto and twice cooked pig's cheek are all examples of his talent. For once we weren't disappointed when the food arrived - it was better than the menu suggested! (Too often not the case). We have returned a few times and each time the food was consistently very good.[Report for Removal] | jimmyfood lancaster north yorkshire |

| Went here on 28 Feb 2008 with a party of 6 just 3 weeks after the new owners took over. The pub has a nice ambience and decor. The food was excellent - 3 of us had twice cooked pig cheeks which were fantastic, 2 others had the fish cakes which were also delicious - and it was great value for money. 6 starters, 6 mains, 2 desserts, 1 bottle of wine, 2 glasses of wine, 2 cokes and about 8 pints and we paid £23 per person including a 10% tip. Highly recommend this gastro pub and will definitely be going again.[Report for Removal] | Lee Bodily Towcester Northants |
