| I am not from the area but nipped in the Old Black Lion whilst waiting for my train back to MK, I am a real Ale drinker and enjoyed the Frog island natterjack they had on as well as two other local ales. The pub was showing Sky Sports and ESPN and I enjoyed the Steak and ale pie with chips i ordered as it was all homemade including the chips. The barstaff were friendly and professional and the locals made me feel very welcome. I Will definately go back to the pub when back in Northampton.[Report for Removal] | Neil Milton Keynes Bucks |

| Very old pub with beams, metre thick walls, and uneven floor. Interesting historical photo's. Appreciated choice of local real ale. Well kept and friendly. Parking may be a problem. Pool table, darts, music playing. Situated near railway station next to Saxon church. Would return when meeting someone from train etc.[Report for Removal] | Kathy Northampton Northants |
