| We visited The Vine for Sunday Lunch (our 4th visit) and were not disappointed. Excellent choice of starters, with the Pigeon being an unusual and tasty addition to the menu. Mains were excellent, lots of fresh vegetables to accompany the choice of Roast Beef, Lamb and Pork. Real Roast Potatoes! Unusual in this day & age, we're so used to getting the frozen one's even in so called fine dining establishments. Good choice of puddings to finish off, can highly recommend the chocolate bread & butter pudding. Extremely moreish! This is a traditional, old fashioned pub, which makes Sunday lunch a very relaxing experience. We spent the best part of the afternoon there, sitting by the real fire. Service was provided by the efficient young staff - nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent value for money.[Report for Removal] | Mrs P. Davis-Cooper Stourbridge West Midlands |

| Our fourth visit to the Vine to eat, where we were greeted with a warm welcome. We had a lovely meal sat by the open fire. Would highly recommend the chicken ballontine followed by rhubard and ginger crumble with custard. There is also a very impressive wine list and a good selection of ciders. Will head there again very soon to try their Sunday roast after a bracing walk over the Clent Hills[Report for Removal] | Sarah Coles KIDDERMINSTER Worcs |

| My family and I came for a meal after receiving a £5 voucher through their website and also because they advertised themselves as a base to go walking over the Clent Hills from. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and the menu offered us a wide choice of good wholesome food for us to walk off. My wife had a ploughmans which was very large and well presented, while I had the faggots which really hit the spot! Our kids meanwhile had plenty to choose off their childrens menu but in the end went for a couple of pork baps which were equally impressive. The food was served quickly (about 20 mins) and was of very good quality. We will look forward to returning to the Vine and a walk over the beautiful Clent Hills.[Report for Removal] | Mark Robson Worcester Worcestershire |

| Lunchtime bar food is rubbish I had hot pork and stuffing bap the quality was not good. My wife ordered a cheese and pickle sandwich it was like a door step more suitable for a navvy, the cheese and pickle were sparse with onion in the side salad which should not be there unless requested, the rest of the side salad was fresh which was it’s only saving grace.[Report for Removal] | M.Webb Sandwell West Midlands |

| Cannot comment on the main menu, but the bar snacks used to be excellent value for money. There has either been a recent change of management, or chef, and I'm afraid the quality, and certainly the quantity, of the bar snacks have suffered. They are now well below the standard that they once were, and no longer offer value for money. [Report for Removal] | John Hill Halesowen West Midlands |

| a great choice of real ales and cider wait the thirsty walker, the pub is quite dated but quirky in it's own right. Not like the chain pubs nearby... Cannot comment on the food, though my thoughts are that the menu is limited and the chips my kids orderd were a little undercooked. Not the best if you are looking for fine dining, more of an overpriced eatery.. The staff seemed friendly and laid back other pubs in the area where you can be made unwelcome from a days walk on the hills for not being dressed up to the nines of willing to pay £17 AHEAD when all you want is a drink and a bag of nuts!! Give it a go, the pretty bar maids and thatchers orginal make up for its faults .. a good old Traditional country pub that is a rare as hens teath, warts an all..[Report for Removal] | steve wood stourbridge west midlands |

| Third visit for a meal and it has been difficult to fault any aspect of the service or food on any of the visits. Today 4 of us waited for about 30 minutes for food. When the wild boar and gammon meals came they were freshly prepared, piping hot and excellent to eat. Dessert was equally good. The apple crumble and custard was beautiful, and although there was nothing at all wrong with the marshmallow ice cream I think it is something of an acquired taste. Staff were polite, attentive and efficient. Really can't fault anything on today's visit.[Report for Removal] | Mervyn Jackson Halesowen West Midlands |

| The young inexperienced staff employed at this country pub, have great difficulty understanding the basic fundamental needs of serving customers. We pre-booked a table for 5, the day before, for a Sunday lunch. On arrival we were met with bewilderment over the table reservation, swiftly followed by nonchalent incompetance. Nobody appeared to be in charge or know who was doing what, or when. The luke warm roast dinners' eventually arrived floating in a sea of watery gravy. The wrong drinks were served, but nobody could be found to change them. The finished meals were not collected until after half an hour we asked if someone could please collect the dishes. To add insult to injury the wrong bill was given. We will definately avoid this scruffy unkept pub in the future, and would advise anyone to give it a wide birth, and dine at the next pub down the lane,The Fountain, where you can be gaurenteed a warm welcome, spotless attention to cleanliness, great service, and delicious food.[Report for Removal] | Karl Brookes West Midlands West Midlands |

| We pre-booked a table for 8 several weeks prior, and upon our arrival were informed that there was a problem with the grill and all the steaks and faggots? were off and there were only 4 salmon left which effectively rendered the menu cut by two thirds, the wild boar was available, so as this was the speciality 4 of us went for that(not brilliant - 1 returned too chewy) Food was obviously microwaved - the bar person tried her best and was very apologetic, but it was her 1st night behind the bar. The bill arrived in the form a final figure (£131) asked for a breakdown (handwritten with no final total) queried regarding the returned boar and ended up with a final bill of £125. Very overpriced for the quality of the food (£16 for a bottle of wine) Go there at your own risk!!! [Report for Removal] | Dave Pestridge Rowley West Midlands |

| I had booked a table for 8 for yesterday; we arrived 2 hours early and the Vine still accomodated us. Only had to wait 20 mins from ordering to being served very well presented piping hot meals. Service, food and drinks were excellent. Definitely top of the list the next time we are in the area.[Report for Removal] | Mervyn Jackson Halesowen West Midlands |

| We went for a meal last Wednesday. I had overdone chicken and asparagus which was difficult to cut (and chew) it was so tough. My friend had rump steak supposedly rare, but he left more than half of it. The chips tasted of fish. We waited at least half an hour for our food, and left alot of it on the plate when we left. Won't be going there again. It's a shame you are not asked if everything is okay with the meal towards the end of it rather than after you've had one mouthful.[Report for Removal] | Judith Birmingham West Midlands |

| Doesn't sound like the same place I visited at the weekend. The food was absolutely excellent, and I was quite surprised at the quality of the menu for a country pub. The atmosphere was friendly and I would recommend this pub to anyone visiting the area.[Report for Removal] | James Stevens mayfair london |
