Will not be going back to the Mitre. The Owners so rude to their customer and unprofessional. We waited over an hr for food - then food was cold - was then made to feel bad for saying that chips were cold - children hardly got anything to eat as dinners where so small eg only two chicken nuggets and a handful of chips with rocket on the side ! not enough to fill them up - all meals where small with no vegtables and my mum had a prawn salad with five prawns on it more like a stater ! but priced as a dinner. Did give them a chance to correct but very abruptly they said this is way the meals are ! in other words take it or leave it - table behind nice family very poliet asked to see the chef as they to where un happy after trying to talk to the chef about there issues eg size of meals , time etc the chef/owner then very abruptly told them to leave, there meals and drinks where then taken of them !! amazing never in all my life have I have seen anythink like it. My Mums comment;."I will not be eating in th MITRE again...( I'd starve) It was a terrible thing to see the people get up and leave... made us feel really bad. Felt sorry for the young women and her parents, she was not rude to the chef just trying to tell h...im the meal was not acceptable, timewise.quality and quanity. He was a bully. I had the same meal it had 6 prawns and 3 Asparagus spears and a small handful of rocket, and a mayo dip.....£7.95 that was it a main meal!! I was starving after. The other meals were hardly better cold soggy chips, a chew lamb shank and 2 small chicken nuggets... The response to our complaint was unbelievable...
