|It is now one of Greene Kings more up-market pubs. I have been twice, first time when it had just re-opened after having a major refurb. I was looking forward to going back and dining in better surroundings with better food. Everything was good except that the manager John makes a point of clearing down from about 10pm onwards ( dosent make you feel wanted or appreciated!!) I went again a couple of weeks ago and was disappointed to find the staff were doing the same thing, come 10 pm they cleared down, started wheeling bins around the bar, one couple asked for a sweet after their mains but were told 'sorry service stops at 10pm' and by 10.20 there were 5 people left in the place, it was time to get me coat! |I have being going to the Abby Arms at Delemere for the last 5 years, and in the past as had bad management and bar staff. In the last 6 months myself and the wife as always enjoyed the food and service of all members of staff. With it being a very busy eating house and family pub the furniture is getting a bit tired and darker seating is require. In fact I have come on this site to find the telephone number to book our second Christmas fyre of the year.[Report for Removal]||terry burrows

|In the past we have enjoyed meals at the Abbey arms but today this hungry horse had the last straw. The eating area was untidy, where we sat had food deposited down the back of the seats. The rump steak was extremely tough. My wifes meal was tepid. On complaining quietly to one of the staff they offered to exchange it which they did some ten minutes or so later. By this time my wife had already eaten and I asked for a refund. This they did very grudgingly and I was left to wait some minutes to receive a refund. The person who attended to me wanted to argue, the other person growled 'get rid of him' under her breath. The whole experience was humiliating and very frustrating as my wife and I had gone out for a meal 'TOGETHER' I am disabled and find it hard to stand for any legnth of time, they could see that as I had my walking stick to aid me stand. All in all it was a very bad experience and I am very angry [Report for Removal]||Rob Layton
