Bistro Bar
We are very pleased to announce that The Marsden Grotto has now re-opened.
Situated in Marsden Bay on one of the most attractive stretches of the North East coastline. Renowned for it's sea bird colonies, with pairs of Kittiwakes, Fulmars and Gulls. Marsden Rock is one of the superb views, well known to the people of the North East. The face of the rock was changed forever when the famous arch collapsed in 1996.
The Marsden Grotto, a former Smugglers Cove in the early 17th Century is still said to be haunted by one of it's earliest patrons. You may hear John the Jibber's moans and groans afer he died a slow death after betraying fellow smugglers.
Now owned by Heritage Inns and Lodges. The Marsden Grotto offers a fantastic Seafood Restaurant and Bistro. A very special venue for all occasions. One of Pubsulike's personal favourites.
